Gold Star History 

Gold Star Bartenders was founded in 2016 by Michael Newman, after he discovered a love of the art of cocktail making at a Winnipeg cocktail making competition. Encouraged by not only industry success, encouragement from fellow bartenders, and contracts for private weddings & events inspired the creation of his own unique bartending label for himself!

With more than 7 years of bartending, and 9+ years in the service industry across 8+ restaurants and bars involving everything from menu development, opening a brand new restaurant (2x) or just slinging drinks, Michael decided his service resume was enough to branch out - focusing more closely on menu development, experimenting with new  ingredients, syrups, tinctures and mixes from scratch and making delicious, appealing cocktails from the most unique and often surprising ingredients.

Working in tandem with other bartenders and service industry professionals from around Winnipeg, Gold Star Bartenders strives to create a unique beverage service experience having touched all of your senses with exceptional service, a delicious cocktail experience that leaves you curious and wanting more.

We strive to maintain excellence, constantly learning new methods, trying new drinks and pairings, and most of all bringing a cheerful spirit to your event, leaving you to enjoy yourself as you should!
